A MESSAGE FROM PATIENT ACCESS
Having listened to feedback from patients, we are pleased to announce that the welcome page for Patient Access has been updated, making it clearer and easier to use. New layout Patients will be able to setup their Patient Access account through the 'Register' section on the left hand section of the screen, using either the registration letter from their practice or the on-line registration facility. ![]() The sign in section on the right hand side should be used once the patient has setup their online account. Note: if you are reissued a new registration letter as an existing user of Patient Access then you should use the left hand section and re-register. New help The 'Help with Patient Access' section has also been updated to include frequently asked questions and videos to assist users. We welcome your feedback We always welcome feedback on how we can improve Patient Access. If you have any suggestions please use the UserVoice facility on patient.co.uk.

chaperonesDuring your appointment with a doctor or nurse you are welcome to ask for a chaperone, this may be one of the nursing team but if they are unavailable a member of the reception staff can chaperone with your agreement. Change of AddressIf you change your address or contact details, please let us know as soon as possible. Please remember that a change of address may also mean you are outside our practice area. Disabled AccessWe have designated parking places for disabled patients, and the building is accessible to wheelchairs and there is a toilet for disabled people. There is a lift to the first floor rooms. Hard of HearingThere is a hearing loop fitted in the waiting area for the hard of hearing. CarersPlease tell the staff if you are a carer or need the support of a carer. Ethnicity and LanguageWe have access to a telephone translation service when required. Please inform reception when booking an appointment if you will need this, and which language you speak. Confidentiality and your medical recordsThe doctors and staff have a legal responsibility to keep your
records safe and confidential. The doctors will only divulge
relevant information to other medical staff where appropriate. No
third party will have access to your records without your written
permission. Patient responsibilityYou should always contact the surgery if you cannot attend an
appointment, need to cancel or re-arrange an appointment. The
appointment is for one person only and it is not fair to the doctor
or the other patients waiting if you ask for another person to be
seen within your appointment. MEDICALSThe surgery provides a prompt and efficient service for patients needing medicals. We are happy to provide a service for our own patients and patients from other local practices. Please contact reception 01869 248585 for an appointment and our current rates.
