John Henderson - Phlebotomist

There are three treatment rooms at the surgery run by our experienced practice nurses. Their work includes dressings, injections, cervical smears, and treatment of minor injuries. The practice strongly supports Health Promotion and the nurses do new patient checks, including giving advice on smoking, weight control, physical activity, as well as asthma, chronic obstructive airways disease and diabetic clinics, travel advice and immunisations.

We have one phlebotomist (blood taker) who takes most of the blood samples which helps to free up nursing time.
